The 50s were a time of fashion innovation. Women began to experiment with style, fashion became less of a necessity and more of an art, and we began to express ourselves by what we wore. In 1955, Christian Dior coined the name A-Line to describe a new style of dress that created the illusion of the most coveted female frame. That’s right, even in the 50s, ladies wanted a thin waist and nice hips. The A-Line dress has managed to stay a staple, just as the trademarker himself. Style to me, is not just what you wear, but how you wear it. Modernizing a classic look is a task that never gets old. Creating a unique ensemble and making your own statement is what laments someone as a taste maker. In homage to Dior himself, I aligned with the A-Line.
