As a lover and follower of fashion, the legacy of Gianni Versace is something I am well versed in. From his quick rise as the son of an Italian seamstress transitioning iconic Italian designer, poised to be the first Milanese brand to take a company public to his heartbreaking murder on the steps of his Miami haven, I have followed the career of this indisputable icon.
While in Miami for work, I took the time to stop by Casa Casurina, which was once know as the Versace Mansion. From the gorgeous art , the exquisite stone work and opulent accessories; this home embody the essence of Versace. I felt the significance of the atmosphere that at times was somber. The power and beauty of Gianni Versace’s fashion was acutely felt in every crevice of his once home.
As the anniversary of his death has come and gone, one thing is certain: his legacy lives on.
