They are luxe, lovely and usually live before they are skinned to frame our fabulous fashions. I for one, am not a fan of fur. Up until this point, the animal lover that I am, relied on the stylings of faux fur. I could not get dressed knowing that a living creature suffered for my look. However, now there is an alternative to the faux fur fashion trend and that is cruelty free fur! This new technique of fur production does not harm the animals and gives you the luxurious look and feel of real fur. I subconsciously and often refer to the image of Cruella DeVille in over accessorized fur coats as an unhip and distasteful ideology of fur fashionistas. Now, with this modern twist on production and a contemporary styling aesthetic I can appreciate the texture and flavor of fur. Update the trend by going away from the over the top obnoxious outfits we typically see and opt for a more fun fur style. Dress down the look with a cool pant, a funky shoe and some super sexy sunnies. Bring the old Upper East Side look downtown with a casual feel…and cruelty free.
