Feminine We Stand

As much as a structured suit can make a woman feel empowered, there’s something about florals and blush tones that allows us to embrace the softer side of who we are and that doesn’t mean we compromise our strength. Sometimes I feel the need to over compensate, and try to assert myself in a predominately male world and be seen as an equal. I realize that what I wear doesn’t take away from my power or strength, it doesn’t limit me as a women and it certainly doesn’t effect my ability to do what I do well. The stigma surrounding women in the work place, equality, sexism, etc doesn’t have anything to do with what I wear, nor my ability to combat it. If anything, I am only allowing this narrative to speak within myself. So, I want to embrace the woman I am (sometimes in florals) and give no excuse for barrier. With so many inspirational women in my life, I stand self assuredly in my Olivia Culpo x Le Tote blouse and soft pink mini, remembering what a gift it is to be a woman and that pandering to any cliche, stereo type, or assertion of what that is, isn’t worth my time. So pull out your favorite pink pieces, accent with your florals, and slide on your pumps as you remember how powerful and how feminine you are.
