Nailing the Fall Trends with Essie

With a little bit rock n’ roll and a little bit of this traditional demure sense, Essie’s Fall Collection proves to take inspiration from the 90’s grunge era. It is not to say that you have to be edgy to find a color that suits your style, however mixing and matching combinations of the new polishes together featuring some of the biggest trends of the season plays nicely into the hip theme. Obviously, there is nothing that I like more than juxtaposing my femininity with some grunge. The cat eye nail trend, which was featured on the Rebecca Minkoff runway, was the look I opted for this fashion week. Utilizing Dressed to The Nineties and Girly Grunge, I was able to seamlessly execute this style. Want a step-by-step approach?

Step 1. Layer two coats of Dressed to The Nineties. Let it dry.

Step 2. Add a sight diagonal of Girly Grunge, starting at the nail bed. Brush too coats up leaving space in the middle for the dark polish to pop through.

Too dark for your taste? With colors like Mixtaupe, Knee-High Life,  and As-If!, there is a variety of options to go around. Fall nails are in vogue and on-point. Shop the collection below.
