I love to be feminine and girly, but not saccharinely so! The question I always find my friends asking and myself pondering, is how do you wear florals in away that isn’t too cutesy? For me, the perfect accessory to offset fabulous florals is leather! The juxtaposition adds an edgy flare that keeps you chic and not too sweet!
While pumpkin patch picking at Mr. Bone’s Pumpkin Patch in LA I put this to test.
I took my floral print sweater from Forever 21 and paired it with some boyfriend cut AG jeans and Gap biker boots.
Keeping my hair long and down helped keep the look soft, but adding the messy half updo, made it unpolished and not so sweet.
Keeping with my idea of leather accents to harden the look, I added my YSL bag. It’s bulky and big, which adds to the toughness!
The floral top undoubtedly holds the focus, but the combination of the accents makes me feels chic and hip, while staying feminine in my floral.
