It was the time of self expression, disco and women’s liberation. A time where experimentation was in its conception and being fostered to cultivate freedom and individuality. Rules were being broken and everything was open to interpretation. It was the 70s! Along with music and art, came the concept of breaking the barriers of the stereotypes of fashion. It is one of my favorite periods to draw inspiration from. Bell bottoms to high waists, blouses and color, the freedom to find fierce fashion was being celebrated. In homage to a period when style thrived, I took a modern twist on the return of retro!
