Second Skin!

One of my favorite things about being a women, is empowering and supporting other women. As an influencer and actress, I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many inspiring and creative women. I am always in awe of their ability to multi-task, build their brands, create products and ultimately design the life and career they want for themselves. I have been incredibly lucky to have so many of these women stand in solidarity and support me, as well. The idea that women can share their success with one another without jealousy or envy and can rally around each other in genuine support is something I am a believer in.

I have been thinking for sometime about creating a monthly post about a women in my life that inspires me. I haven’t quite developed exactly what the column is, but I certainly feel strongly about impressing about young girls that we should be a culture of women that love other women. There is such a stigma against us and I am desperate to break it. Building strong female relationships is intrinsic to the overall development of our culture as a society.

Today’s post is dedicated to women supporting women. Dressed in Second Skin Overalls, created by Danielle Bernstein a fellow entrepreneur, I am reminded of the amazing ability women have to turn their passion and creativity in to a business; paving a way for themselves that otherwise wouldn’t exist. I am happy to support the ladies in my life and respect and commend their handwork. It is too often our insecurities, our ego and our fear dictate how we perceive those around us. It is not about what we can get from others, but what we can give and how we can cultivate a community of females that are proud to support each other.
