Restylane® Refyne-d

This post is brought to you by Restylane®

In today’s world, being a woman comes with so much pressure. We are constantly flooded with images of beauty that are often times unattainable. Young is better, ageism exists, and keeping up our appearances seems to be an audacious task undertaken by most of the women that I know, at least. Yet, the conversation of self care, self preservation, and self love seems to still be taboo. It is ironic that such an image obsessed culture has continued to create the ability for women to nip, tuck, and preserve but the conversation surrounding our ability to look and feel our best is so hush hush.
As a 32-year old woman, I reserve my right to do whatever I want to look and feel my best and I for one, am not going to be ashamed of it. Whether I am refining or redefining my appearance, I own it and am not afraid to talk about it.
On a recent trip to New York, I was lucky enough to spend my afternoon with Dr. Lisa Airan to discuss Restylane®’s newest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Restylane® Refyne and Restylane® Defyne. These HA dermal fillers are created with XpresHAn Technology™, to  help smooth moderate lines and still provide the right amount of support and flexibility through a range of facial expressions. I have never shied away from fillers and hate the stigma around women making their appearance a priority. So today, this post is about being transparent and honest about what I do to help break the cycle of covering up what so many women already engage in. Cosmetic procedures are so often kept hush hush as opposed to an exciting new change that makes you feel good about yourself. For that reason, I am taking you on my Restylane Refyne process for my nasolabial folds. What can I say? I am a gal who smiles a lot but that doesn’t mean I want my resting face to showcase those annoying little lines, so with some strategic injections and a conservative approach, I have limited those little folds while still being able to smile ear to ear and after this procedure, I am sure smiling. It gave the right amount of support and flexibility and I still look like me.
