Totally Tribal!

On stage they may be trying to change the world one sequin at a time, but away from the limelight, you can achieve anything you want, just as long as your dressed for it. So before you whisk your Lulu Guinness into a festival sunset, are your outfit choices completely on point?

The style ingredients of a music festival are an eclectic mix, with festival goers eager to create their own specific brand of beauty. Whilst some may have opted for beach chic, others seem to be dressed in what they found on the floor of the tent, even if it wasn’t their tent in which they were sleeping! The opportunity to create outfits beyond your wildest dreams leaves you with a blank canvas. Obviously you still want to look stylish but resist the urge to play it safe and get a little creative.

Festival fashion is moving on from denim cut offs and floral headbands. Starting from the ground up, gladiator sandals are a step in the right fashion direction. Pair them with fringed garments and aztec framed sunglasses. Take inspiration from the Barbara Bui Summer 2016 collection, using a little imagination you could bring the same flair to the party with less costly pieces from Topshop and Zara. And for the piece de resistance, don’t forget the statement necklace.

Accessorize all areas! You don’t need to be partying at downtown West Palm Beach to allow the glittering chandeliers of Art Deco hotels to influence your style. High impact earrings are over the top, shoulder grazing and gorgeous. Make sure your ear candy is relevant, from floral fringes to teardrop topaz. Alternatively, nod towards the oversized trend but go graphic with Bakelite style lacquered hoops or silver spirals. You may have already noted that flower headbands are out, but did you know chokers are in? We are not sure how this will translate to festival fashion but give it a try, from leather to lace, statement neck decorations are sure to impress.
